Interchange’s Business Case for the NDIS has now been released and is available for download
It is our aim to ensure that the unintended consequence of the NDIS is not the loss of Volunteer and Community Inclusion programs.
In June 2014 the Victorian Department of Health provided funding to Interchange Incorporated to consider how volunteer coordination can be integrated within the NDIS context. The aims of the project, using the Interchange Host Program as a case study, were to:
- Increase awareness of the work involved in establishing and maintaining volunteer supported services
- Raise awareness of the benefits of retaining volunteer supported services within the NDIS
- Make recommendations for integration of volunteer supported services within the NDIS framework
The final Business Case has now been released. The content demonstrates how the NDIS structure can be applied to volunteer supported services and that the key elements of the program can be successfully incorporated within the NDIS.
