News Post

Volunteers play a vital role in the lives of many people living with disability. The Department of Health and Human Services has funded Interchange Incorporated to commission research to identify, describe and categorise the range of volunteer-supported services that are currently operating in the disability sector, the outcomes of those services, and their relationship with the ILC framework. University of Melbourne has been commissioned to undertake the research.

The Department of Health and Human Services has funded Interchange Incorporated to commission research to identify, describe and categorise the range of volunteer-supported services that are currently operating in the disability sector, the outcomes of those services, and their relationship with the ILC framework. The research is the first of its kind in Australia and will provide evidence to inform government decision making around volunteer operating models as well as to inform funded organisations about opportunities for such models.

Disability service organisations who currently, or have previously, provided volunteer supported services or programs to people with disability since 1st July 2016 are invited to participate in the research.
