The 2014 Interchange Annual General Meeting was held on Friday 7th November, with 25 staff, volunteers and board members from across the Interchange network in attendance.

The meeting was chaired by Interchange Board President Andrew Holt, and included the election of two new board members, Graeme Bird and Jan Bence.

Among the day’s highlights were the presentations of the Jean Simpson Award to winners Wendy Milnes (Employee of the Year) and the Long-Davidson Family (Volunteer of the Year).

The guest speakers for the day were James O’Brien from National Disability Services, who gave an update on the rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, and Marianne Collins from Interchange South Australia, who gave an insightful and helpful presentation on her team’s experiences and strategies as a trial site for the NDIS.

The morning also featured a special farewell to Christine Spirason, who is retiring from Interchange Northern after an impressive 25 years.
