Volunteer Programs Are At Risk, Jeopardising People Living With Disability


The report into Volunteering and Disability has clearly shown a link between the significant contribution volunteers can have on the broader family unit, to not only support the quality of life of the person with a disability but all those involved in their lives.

Currently the NDIS individualised planning system does not have any formal procedures or guidelines in place to acknowledge this, however this is needed to ensure the best possible outcomes for people with disability and their families.
